On 18th March 2020, Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences in collaboration with District Health and Family Welfare Department, Mandya and Indian Medical Association conducted awareness programme regarding COVID - 19 for all teaching faculty, Residents, Post Graduate  students and Interns.

Dr Subhash Babu, Associate Professor of Department of Community Medicine gave a talk on Epidemiology of COVID 19 and Preventive measures to be taken

Department of Community Medicine, Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences in collaboration with District Health and Family Welfare Department, Mandya, Indian Medical association, Karnataka State Chapter of association Of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India, KIDWAI Cancer Institute, Bengaluru conducted a Cancer screening camp for  Breast cancer and Cervical cancer  on 10th march 2020 at Primary Health Center, Kothathi, Mandya 

More than 400 women were screened 

Pap smear was done in women > 25year age group

        Mammography  was done in women > 45year age group

                          Screening was done by Dr Shobha And Dr Nirupama from KIDWAI Cancer Institute, Bengaluru

On the occasion of World AIDS Day 2019, Programme was conducted on 20^th December 2019 for 1^st and 2^nd year MBBS students under the guidance of Dr Harish B R Professor and Head Department of Community Medicine. Programme was co-ordinated by Dr Vinay M, Associate Professor Department of Community Medicine.
