School Health Programme – 2018

Team of Department of community Medicine consisting of Dr Jahnavi Rajagopal,  Dr Siddalingappa Hugar, Dr Padmaja Swamy, Mr Kalappa M, Mrs Anitha P, five Postgraduate students and eight interns visited Sri Sathya Sharadanikethanam school on 24^th July 2018 and health checkup was done. 300 Students studying from 6^th standard to 10^th standard were examined between 10 am to 4 pm. 
  

The health checkup included detailed history taking and examination of students from head to toe, height and weight measurement, neck circumference, distant vision and otoscopic examination for those with ear complaints. Appropriate treatment was prescribed for identified health problems. Advise regarding personal hygiene and importance of eating nutritious food was given to students.
